2026 Open Enrollment (OE) concluded Sunday, November 30, 2025. All requested changes submitted go into effect Thursday, January 1, 2026. If you did not receive a confirmation email that your OE enrollment form was received, please email:  retirement.health@sanjoseca.gov.

New insurance cards will be issued by the carrier, so keep an eye on your incoming mail.

VSP Vision Care for 2026 Reminder:  Beginning January 1, 2026, VSP Signature plan enrollment was transitioned to VSP Choice. For more information about the VSP Choice Plan, please review the VSP Vision Plan Design.
